Two domains I’m not sure what to do with

I have two domains which I really am not sure what to do with. The first is whitelabelpoker.com, the second is birminghamnewstreet.com. Both hand registered and have a basic landing page, which I do with all domains I think will be worthwhile developing down the line. I was particularly pleased with hand registering Birmingham New Street as it benefits from 6,600 exact local searches per month and my initial plan is to get it ranking 1st place for its exact name and then do a mail shot to a load of businesses on Birmingham New Street (the most central parade in Birmingham City Centre) in an attempt to sell advertising space on the site.

The challenge I find when approaching businesses for advertising space is that it is not an instant process like Adsense. There is a lot of leg work you have to do and if I am honest I’m not always sold on the long term benefits of advertising space your income can suddenly disappear if the companies decide to cut marketing budgets, although the return can be a lot greater. The first step however when attempting to monetize your domains in this way is to make sure you have built up a track record of quality, targeted traffic. Really a minimum of three months should be a good enough for any company to decide whether to stick their hands in their pockets for a slice of the sites advertising space.
