This weeks edition of my top 10 domain name sales post is coming to you live from Portugal, my first international post for 3ac since starting the blog. Lets hope it will be the start of many more!
Being on holiday I am a day late in writing this post and with limited access to the internet I have decided to do a review to date of how this weekly slot can be evolved moving forward into the second quarter (being the 2nd of April today) of 2009
So with netbook on lap, and blackberry in hand…here we go!

My original intention of this weekly post has already changed a couple of times since starting it back in February. Firstly I had the idea in mind that I wanted to report the top sales by value, but then thought that its not really that interesting and plenty of other industry blogs/sites are already dishing out that type of info anyway.
I thought some more after my first post and decided I should attempt to create a regular slot which benefits the domaining community; sharing my views, experiences and general opinion in my own quirky style. Has it worked so far? I think so, I’ve had a few nice comments posted back and from my analytics views to this regular post are growing slowly but steadily.
However I still feel a little lost with it and this last week has made me think that I now need to create some direction for the top 10 domain name sales posts.
My thoughts are to scrap the domain name sales part and focus on the top 10 concept. In fact the more I think about it now, whilst watching the unravelling of the G20 summit protests live on Sky News, keep the top 10 sales but give it a different spin / theme each week… I think that I am onto something!
Hmm. The top 10 domain name sales weekly theme. It certainly gives me flexibility to talk about the domain name industry with much more variety. I could have the top 10 over-rated domain names, the top 10 funniest domains, the top 10 best domaining blogs, the top 10 domainers of all time…the list is endless.
Right this week I am going to do some market research and start asking people (domainers) what they would like to see and whether it should remain a weekly post or whether I could even make it a daily post.
It could become Taylor’s Top Ten! Superb, I gem of an idea.
Right, I’m off now, going to go for some dinner and then relax at the bar with a coke and a smile!
If you have any ideas which could help me in the meantime I would love to hear from you!
Cheerio for now my lovely listeners
Gary
