Gaming domains

gaming-domainsI have just been reading Sedo’s March 2009 monthly newsletter and in particular their Gaming Domains post (read it here) and I strongly feel that the online gaming industry has only just touched the surface in terms of long term growth. With a 27% rise in December 2008 alone, the industry seems to be recession-proof. Being the amazingly intuitive entrepreneur that I am (I can feel my head getting larger!) I bought up quite a few gaming domains and have done a fair amount of research into the online gaming industry, especially with regards to future growth potential of search engine optimisation and mobile technologies within the industry. Anyway, I logged into my domain name account with 1&1 to have a look at what gaming domains I had. Having just sold 360poker.net for a couple of hundred bucks  I thought what the hell, I may as well select another handful and offer them to the public as I’m not going to develop all of them. Selling domains on social networks 9th March 2009

Last week I wrote a post about selling domains on social networks which was an experiment to see how using Twitter and Mixx would generate traffic to my domain name listings. For the experiment I uploaded 72 domain names onto auction site Sedo, which are all genuinely up for sale with no reserve, so yes you can bid on them!
