Google Profiles In Search Results
I’ve only just noticed this for the first time tonight, so please correct me if I am wrong, but when you are signed into a Google account and search for someone’s name, Google is now returning their Google Profiles page in the search results. › Continue reading
Mobile domains
One area which I feel will become a huge market over the next few years is the integration of mobile technology in the domain name industry. Therefore hedging my bets, I have decided to start a regular post about Mobile Domains to keep you up to date with the movements in the mobile industry across the areas of mobile marketing, mobile search engine optimisation and mobile technology in relation to the domain name industry.

Selling domains on social networks 23rd March 2009
Week three of my selling domains on social networks series of posts. For those of you who are SDOSN virgins, this series of weekly posts sees me using Twitter and Mix to market a selection of now 74 domain names, all listed on Sedo with no reserve (so yes you can bid on them) Each week I report back the statistics showing whch domains names were viewed most frequently and which social network, Twitter or Mixx contributed the most referrals/visitors. And hopefully sales! Although in three weeks we have only seen two sales and one of those was actually before I started the posts…hmm. Anyway let us proceed and see how things have faired over the last 3 weeks. Oh and excuse the totally crap graphic design this week. I seriously need to sort out my skills on photoshop…Paint just doesn’t cut it! › Continue reading

I have come to the conclusion that domainers in general could do a lot more with their domain names if they paid more attention to their search engine optimisation efforts; vastly improving their domains placement in the SERPs (search engine result pages.)
So what are the components of domain name seo and how can each one be used to maximise the visibility of your domain names? Lest we forget that a domain names value is heavy reliant on the traffic it receives. So, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Domain Name SEO: Week 1, I’m your host, Gary Taylor… Now lets see exactly what these components are… › Continue reading
