No one likes a domain squatter

3ac domain names

3ac domain names

Back in January I found that 3ac.com was up for sale and put in a bid of $500, but a cheeky f*cking b*stard domain squatter, who owns it already, is holding it at ransom for $7000!

“Suk Min Jun” the name on the whois, wants an astonishing $7,000 for it and he/ she (or they) are not even doing anything with the domain.

I’m sick and tired of w*nkers like this who think they can command ridiculous prices for domains that they have no intention whatsoever in developing!

They even reckon they have had previous offers which were higher. Well do you know what I can smell?…

BULLSHIT!!…That’s right… BULLSHIT!!

And do you know what?

WE HATE BULLSHIT!

For the attention of the present owner:

If you think N-L-L.coms (Number, Letter, Letter) are worth anything close to LLL.coms or NNN.coms you’ve got a rude awakening ahead pal!

You make me sick!

Oh and if you are reading and just in case I haven’t offended you with this post, do you fancy swapping it for 1BL.com, instead?

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE YOU COMMENTS IF THIS HAS HAPPENED TO YOU!

Rant over

  • Christ thats quite a rant, but I couldnt agree more. I would love to see the figure of domain names taken with meaningful content on them.

Domain squatting is really low rent, but is fueled by such low costs to by domains, with registrars giving away domains for free is it any wonder people buy them up.

As the for the prices people are commanding what can you do, it costs them $5 a year to sit on it so they will hold out for big money – supply and demand, you want it they have absolutely no need to sell. If this was poker they have just pulled a pair of Aces.

  • Gary says:

I agree with the “fueled by such low costs to buy domains” comment but trying to sell donkeys at Red Rum prices is just plain stupid.

If this joker put 3ac.com up for auction with no reserve they’d get no where near $7,000 and they know it.

  • Darrin says:

You forgot that many of the big registrars are involved in it, they are holding millions of domains; and “domain tasting” has yet to be abolished, even though it was supposed to be implemented last year.

  • Gary says:

Valid point Darrin, a much bigger issue…

Have you ever seen it when you search for a selection of domain names and then find that a few days later someone has registered the ones you were looking at. Sometimes I think the big registrars are keeping tabs on what domains people are searching for and buy them up in anticipation that other people may want similar ones.

    Conspiracy theories r us!

    Cheers for the comment
