Mothers Day Cards and mothersdaycards.co.uk

Its that time of the year in the UK where we pay special tribute to our mothers, mums, mummys, and mas this Sunday the 14th of March. Yes that’s right its Mothers Day in the UK and what better way for me to celebrate it for my mother than to officially start developing a domain which couldn’t ring more true for this occassion. Mothersdaycards.co.uk

I purchased mothersdaycards.co.uk over 12 months ago at Sedo for £750 which I could argue was a bit too much than I wanted to pay for it, however my goal for this domain is long term…never to sell it. Check out my post from last year here.  So the last 12 months I’ve just sat on it and reviewed the competition and various affiliate programs available to me. The two I have whittled it down to are Moonpig.com and 123Greetings. Both who have a robust program with decent earning potential.

The term “mothers day cards” has approx 18,100 searches per month on Google UK exact keyword search. This is also compliment by several thousand searches for similar terms too such as “hand made mothers day cards.”

Of course this is peak at this time of year and it is a one off seasonal event however it is not going to disappear so for me it should be a sound investment as far as domain names go.

I’ll be keeping you posted on the developments of mothersdaycard.co.uk so watch this space
