Keyword Domains and Mini Sites

Today I have started my presentation for ThinkVisibility.com in September. With 68 days to go I wanted to be well prepared, seeing as though it will be the first time I have spoken at the event. The presentation slots usually last about 45 minutes. I struggle to keep my concentration for 45 seconds at times so I want to keep my presentation as interesting as possible. The decided title is, “Keyword Domains and Mini Sites” and will be a start to finish guide on developing a self-sustaining domain name portfolio.

I have begun with the “death by powerpoint” option. Bullet point slides, around which I will chat my usual B.S in an attempt to sound vaguely knowledgeable. I have finished the “Who am I” section…and congratulated myself on the fact I could actually outline my career in 5 lines of text, by registering HotelAbuDhabi.co.uk and setting up a basic homepage for it. My next little mini-site to develop after FlyFishingBooks.co.uk which will be used as a case study during my Think Visibility presentation.

Which reminds me… I have just added the Amazon eStore “Carousel Widget” to FlyFishingBooks.co.uk, see below:

The widget allows users to scroll through a selection of products which you can hand pick via your Amazon store as your “recommendations.” When the visitors hover over the book they are interested in, a pop up info box appears with information, reviews and prices of the product including the all important “Buy” button. You can sign up to the Amazon affiliate program and create your own “aStore” here. All of their widgets are WYSIWYG and it is a simple copy and paste the code job to drop it into your site. Honestly it couldn’t be easier. Well done Amazon!

Enjoy
