Domain name SEO, article writing

domain-articlesDomain name SEO tip:  A great technique to gain exposure for your domain names and give your seo efforts a boost is to write articles and get them posted across the web. With a bit of effort, you can dramatically increase traffic and PR, boosting your ranking in the SERPs.

There are plenty of article submission websites around, but in particular I find that Articlesbase.com and EzineArticles.com are the most effective at gaining visibility, building in bound links and driving relevant traffic to your domains.

Using articles as part of your domain name seo strategy to market your domains opens the doors to a new audience. Don’t get me wrong its not like it opens the flood gates to a sea of eager visitors waiting to purchase your products… but if done correctly external article writing can add a serious string to your bow.

A golden example and one we should all learn from is this article written about online dating. Since January 2008 it has been viewed 306, 284 times and carries a page rank of 5. Not bad huh? If you are savvy you may have noticed that the text link to the authors site actually carries a no follow…so its not passing any PR. But don’t let this put you off. The key with article writing is to get your author profile page rank up and then have a text link to your website/domains in your author biography, so you pass PR to your domains this way. Just like this

Now my profile is relatively new, and I only have four articles, so still on PR0, but check out the author of the online dating article, her profile is a PR4. Nice.

Market your articles via social networks like Twitter, Mixx and Facebook for example and email them to your contacts, soon you will create a nice web of referrals.

So there you have it, dust off your thinking cap and get writing!

Cheerio
