Rule Britannia, Britannia rules domains!!… It seems that despite the horrendous economic downfall of 2008 the .uk secondary domain names market is holding its own as a recession-proof industry, sporting a 57% growth. Hoorah!!…

It appears that many UK companies are turning to acquiring geo-targeted domains/websites with existing traffic as a cost effective alternative to search marketing, a very good domain strategy to have if your products or services are focused around a particular location. A prime example of this is the online recruitment company My Job Group, who’s geo-targeted domain strategy sees them rank top spot  for terms like “jobs birmingham”, “jobs sheffield” etc. Have a look for yourself, could you replicate this strategy across your industry/niche?
