Beware of 1&1 Internet

The SEO effect of 1&1 A Year On

It has been a year since I had my issues with 1&1 Internet and decided to express my dissatisfaction at their service publicly and what I have learned from this saga is that “joe public” also like to get involved when they feel that they have been treated in an unfair manner or experienced poor customer service. Here’s the impact the response to my post had on SEO and social media, resulting in great rankings in the SERPs.

1&1 Domain Names Saga Over?

For those of you following my trials and tribulations with 1&1 Internet since January this year it looks likes the saga may have finally come to an end. I have received what appears to be refunds on pretty much all the domain names I have disputed and then have not been re billed for ones which I had rightly cancelled. It has only been 6 months but I think I may have finally got there and hopefully have cost 1&1 some business in the meantime by being so open to my audience with the poor customer services which I have received from the web hosting company. › Continue reading

1&1 Issue Three Months In

It has been a few weeks since my last update about my dreaded 1&1 saga and things actually seem to be progressing. Perhaps they are starting to take notice of the 60+ comments to this series of blog posts!

Here is the recent flurry of email communication I have had with 1&1 Internet and details my attempts to cancel a large number of domain names and get a refund for the one they have billed me for AFTER I had transferred them away to DomainMonster.com. There have been a number of technical faults on behalf of 1&1 during this entire episode and I feel I am completely justified in asking for this near £400 refund. › Continue reading

And Another Crap Response From 1&1

It appears that 1&1 Internet actually enjoy making themselves look ridiculous. On Friday I received a further response from their complaints team, which AGAIN made absolutely no attempt to answer my 9 clearly set out questions from a previous email. To add insult to injury here’s the email and some other bits that have happened since which are just laughable… › Continue reading
