Another busy weekend
It seems like its a never ending battle at times. I do a load of work and my rankings fall, then I do nothing and they increase. Its been another busy weekend and Monday for the matter making adjustments and changes to my sites, doing SEO and some development, and also some offline marketing, speaking to companies we would like to get on board as clients and generally develop the business further.
I spent quite a few hours submitting my secured loans website to numerous new directories in a bid to get some decent one way links. I actually found a cool site which is giving me a PR4 link for free. Nice. I am now ranking page 2 on Google for “Home Improvement Loans” which is a great improvement but requires a lot of work with constant new content having to be upload to build new inbound links into and to integrate across the social networks.
I have spent another couple of hours on Twitter today building a new profile for The Part Timers blog, me and my friend have an acoustic duo and we play at local venues each week. Our next gig is this Thursday. Woop Woop. We actually have a company with an artist who would like to use us for social network development and online reputation management. We are waiting to hear from them next week so fingers crossed!
In the meantime I will be doing more directory submissions for our mobile downloads site which features some of the top models in the UK on it who’s pictures and videos can be downloaded directly to your mobile phone. I have actually been contacted by a model who has appeared in Playboy and FHM magazines to express interest in having a mobile site developed especially for her. I emailed her back today, so am eagerly waiting for her reply to see if we can get a meeting.
On the domains front I have finally been able to put acousticbands.co.uk to use by putting it as a 301 redirect to theparttimers.co.ukin an attempt to capture more traffic, all for the greater good!
Exciting news as well from last week, we have been invited down to join Bango, the mobile billing and analytics company on their yacht during Cowes week on the 5th of August. Tom Thurston our mobile developer is a key partner of Bango and we have done a presentation to the company and the rest of its partners in London about mobile seo including the benefits of paying special attention to meta, H tags and blog links within the mobile SERPs.
Anyway I must push on for the moment, lots to do, but needed to squeeze a post in to keep you all uptodate with whats going on!
Speak to you soon
