A week or so ago I sent a tweet out asking for recommendations for a 5 star review plugin and in true Twitter fashion I got a recommendation straight away for the GD Star rating WordPress plugin by @MathewCoUk. Thanks Mathew.
I wanted something that was search engine friendly and would show up when my site was next re-indexed. Over the next few days I had a few people ask me to let them know if and when the review stars showed up in the SERPs so I have been checking back and I am pleased to say that they have.
The two examples I have below are for articles which are quite prominent reviews of domain name registration companies 1&1 and Domain Monster. As you can see the 5 star review plugin is showing up nicely in the SERPs and adds that extra “authority” to my listing.
Have you used the GD Star Rating WordPress Plugin? Or do you have any other recommendations for 5 star review plugins? Let us know by commenting below.
Thanks
Gary
5 Star Review Plugin,

Nice One Gary, didn’t take long for Google to pick this up then. I looked at that plugin a while ago and got put off with far too many options, did you find it easy to get configured or did you have to read up on it?
Wander if you can get it to show reviews rather than votes.
Cheers
Gary
Hi Gary
Thanks for the comment. I haven’t had a proper chance to look into it if I’m honest. There is a nice admin panel for the plugin and it was easy to set up as it is. Now that I know it ranks in the SERPs I will be tinkering with it to get the best results. I agree about the reviews vs votes. It would be nice if it could pick up the fact there has already been 127 comments on the 1&1 post!
Best
Gary
