3ac on first page for domains?
I’ve been doing SEO work to 3ac.co.uk, targeting the keyword “domains” for some time and had been floating around page 3 for a while on Google UK. However an impromptu check this evening and I have found myself leap frog to position 10 on the first page! I had to look twice and also check to see whether web history customisations was turned ON, but it’s not. 3ac.co.uk has genuinely made it to the first page for the word “DOMAINS.” Can I get a woop, woop?!
You may remember I wrote a post in April last year entitled “Domains: an SEO update” (a few months after I started 3ac.co.uk) saying that I aimed to be on first page for “domains” by May 2010 and it looks like I pretty much did it.
If I’m honest the timing was more out of luck than judgment. I was giving myself 12 months and didn’t actually expect to see 3ac.co.uk hit the first page on the exact month I guessed…but what the hell sometimes you need a bit of luck in this game!

After all that and back to the 3rd page almost as quickly as I appeared on the 1st…I feel robbed…
[...] So what’s the deal? I cleared my cache, browsing history etc. and Google’s search history customizations were not on so I’m still at a loss as to why Google keeps throwing me up onto the first page for domains? Here was the first time it did it. [...]
