Google maps and local SEO

I’ve been playing around with Google maps to help gain exposure for a mortgage advice directory I am developing. I have created a map widget which can be embedded into any website. The idea behind it is to plot various locations on the map and at each location add a pin marker which loads into a bubble containing a link. The text link then takes the visitors directly to the desired landing page, in this case an enquiry form for mortgage advice.
