Link building using RSS feed submissions

I have spent the last few weeks researching and collating over 200 RSS feed sites/directories which I can submit 3ac to to gain exposure and inbound links. I have now finished creating my spreadsheet of the sites I have collated and am working my way through them all manually to submit 3ac’s RSS feed to them. I am on number 20 of 212…so quite a long way to go. However the sites I have chosen are well visited and relatively well regarded as some of the top sites to have your RSS feeds listed on. Some are free sites, some require a reciprocal link, some require to be paid for a listing and others are human edited only listing the sites they feel are worthy enough to be mentioned on their site. › Continue reading

Can free WordPress blogs help with SEO?

I am doing a little test at the moment to see how free WordPress blogs can help with SEO and link building. saasecuredloans.com under development

I have been planning the redevelopment of my secured loans website for quite some time. As the market is experiencing a huge slump it is an ideal time for me to plan the transition correctly, simply because I have the time too. I have just submitted my new proposal to Dave Carruthers at One Result, who will deal with the development work for me. I am changing the graphic design, CMS, enquiry form functionality and SEO strategy completely which will allow me to create a fresh new brand for Search & Apply to give it a head start for when the secured loans market returns. I will be changing the domain name to saasecuredloans.com and putting searchandapply.co.uk on a permanent redirect. As the development takes place on saasecuredloans.com feel free to check out it out and watch as my all new secured loans website unveils itself.

thumbsup.mobi mobile web directory conference call

I have just spent the last couple of hours on a conference call with top mobile web developer Tom Thurston discussing ideas for our mobile website directory thumbsup.mobi. A few of the things we discussed included SEO friendly URLs, geo search and weighting of links from other sites in mobile search. We want to take on a two-way approach of ranking the directory in pc-based search for one type of visitor and in mobile search, from mobile devices, for another type of visitor. One question we asked was who do we want to find our directory on pc-based search and what key phrases do we want users to find us for via their mobile devices? Another question was how we would make our directory more relevant than the hundreds/thousands of other mobile web directories out there at the moment. What are our USPs (unique selling points?) The quest continues and I will be keeping you up to date with our developments in my new category Mobile Website Directory.
